40 years of serving the Santa Cruz cycling community.
Independent and locally owned, the Bicycle Trip has enjoyed providing quality sales and service in Santa Cruz County for 40 years (consider this comprehensive history). Our commitment to cycling and to the Santa Cruz community spans decades and includes Project Bike Trip, an innovative non-profit whose programs offer technical training in bicycle mechanics, preparing youth for job opportunities within the bicycle industry. Additionally, youth are introduced to the bicycle as an alternative source of mainstream transportation, a road to healthy living, and a means for connecting with the outdoors.
Co-Owners Berri Michel and Aaron Jacobs continue to align with non-profit organizations within the community geared toward educating the public and making bikes a part of the solution, including Project Bike Trip, Ecology Action, Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz, and People Power.
We believe in cultivating community, promoting cycling as a solution to societal challenges like childhood obesity and global warming, and providing friendly and professional service for all.
The entire staff at Bicycle Trip staff is totally nuts about bikes. Our experience, knowledge and interest ranges from elite downhill, professional road racing, commuter extraordinaire, and casual cruiser. We are professional and family oriented and would love to help you find the perfect bike that matches your interest, experience, lifestyle and budget.
We’re always looking for young talent to ad to our team of bike fanatics. Interested in working at the Trip? Send us your resume and cover letter telling us a little about yourself and why you would like to join the Bike Trip family.
